|
Hey, i posted this in the MSI forum but with no luck - i hope you gus can help me out:
About 3 years ago i bought the MSI GX640 - the specs are as following:
Intel core i5-430M
ATI Radeon HD5850 1GB DDR5 VRAM
Ram: 2*2 GB DDR3
64 bit
As the title says, i have a problem with the screen turning black after showing the windows logo. This problem started about two years ago - but it dissapeared again shortly after.. almost a year later, the screen broke(litteraly, a lamp fell on it) and i had it replaced - when i got back my computer, it worked fine, but the black screen problem quickly returned.. Frustrated i tried to reinstall windows 7.. this worked for 7 boots, and then it couldt boot again without the screen turning black(when the screen turns black, the HDD also completely stalls, and the indicator for activity is not blinking).
Then i tried win 8 and the computer started perfektly. But when i tried to reboot it(i didnt install any drivers - it was only windows 8 that was installed), it couldn't boot. When it had shown the windows logo for about 10 seconds, the screen turned black, and the HDD indicator stopped blinking. _________________ used branded computers |
